These terms govern your use of Pathfin. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
1. About the service
Pathfin is a service that helps users apply for jobs in Finland by generating Finnish-style cover letters and tracking applications. It is operated by Jan Wanjaini, based in Finland.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older to use Pathfin. Provide accurate information about yourself. You're responsible for activity under your account. Don't share your account.
3. Acceptable use
Use Pathfin to apply for jobs honestly. Don't:
- Misrepresent your qualifications or experience
- Generate content for someone else's application without their consent
- Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or break into the service
- Submit illegal, abusive, or harmful content
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
4. AI-generated content
The cover letters Pathfin generates are written with AI assistance. They are starting points — you should always read, edit, and verify the content before submitting any application. We don't guarantee the content is error-free, factually accurate, or suitable for a specific job. You're responsible for what you ultimately submit to an employer.
5. Subscription and payment
Some features are available only with a paid subscription, billed monthly. Payment is processed by Stripe. You can cancel any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future charges; we don't refund partial periods unless required by law.
6. Intellectual property
You own the content you generate using Pathfin (your cover letters, your profile data). You grant us a limited license to process this content as needed to provide the service to you. We own the platform itself, the prompts we wrote, and the design.
7. No warranty
Pathfin is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it working but make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or that you'll get a job. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service.
This does not affect any consumer rights you have under Finnish or EU law that cannot be waived.
8. Termination
You can stop using Pathfin and delete your account any time via Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are material, we'll notify you by email. Continued use means acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes will be handled by Finnish courts.
